The Curriculum
The Friendship Children's Center has a comprehensive curriculum which recognizes the unique needs and learning styles of children between the ages of three months and five years.

When your child enrolls in our program, your family will receive a Curriculum Handbook, which contains details regarding all of the components of our school's curriculum and the structure and design of each classroom.

Our classrooms and lesson plans have been developed to provide a supportive, well-rounded, learning experience for all children. They are based in the practices recommended in the Creative Curriculum, a comprehensive application of research and academic expectations to the early childhood classroom.

Working within this well-defined curriculum, our teachers utilize curriculum mapping to chart the development progress of the children in each classroom. The curriculum maps assess traditional stages of early childhood development, incorporating lesson planning, classroom design, and educational tools and materials to create the optimum learning experiences for our students. Below is a sample of a curriculum map for the pre-kindergarten program.
