The Friendship Children's Center operates on a year-round basis, closing on Federal holidays and other predetermined dates as approved by the Board of Directors. (See “School Calendar” for a complete list of closings.)

During inclement weather, the Friendship Children's Center will follow the schedule dictated by the District of Columbia public schools.

In the event that the Friendship Children's Center must change the hours and days of operation due to emergency closings including inclement weather, school closing information will be available on the school's voice mail, as well as the WTOP Radio web site.
